I own a 64fv, and just had it out today as a matter fo fact.I really like the heavy barrel because you can just pound the ammo through it and it takes alot for it to heat up.I also have a 597 heavy barrel and find the savage way more accurate than it right out of the box.Goog luck on your decision and I hope this helps ya somewhat.:t
