There is a remington model 33 coming up for sale at a local auction.
Is this a good model.
Does anyone know what a fair price for this rifle is?
It is in nra good condition.
Any info is appreciated.

The M/33 was Rem's first bolt action .22 rifle. It was a good design.

Fair price??? Maybe $125 to $150. Real nice ones usually go for under $200 unless they are the "P" or "NRA" versions. The "P" will command a slight premium. The NRA goes up significantly more. The "P" will have a Lyman 55 peep sight. The NRA will have the sight and will be stamped NRA JUNIOR on the barrel.

I recently bought one with the Lyman peep; i cannot stress this enough- YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! between it and my CZ 452, the other .22's mostly gather dust.

I like the M/33 better than the M/41 that followed it. Then came the M/510 which is also a really good .22.

I have a 521t that I think is great.
How does the 33 compare to the 521t?

VERY different guns. The M/33 is a small, single shot entry level rifle. The 521-T is a repeater & much larger in every way. I like the 521-T a lot for different reasons than the 33. The best group I have ever shot with a .22 at 100 yards was with a 521-T with factory peep sights.

I think John answered that... they are totally different designs all the way through. I doubt there is an interchangable part unless it might be a woodscrew that holds the buttplate on the stock .
