I have not hunted with a scope that has a Mil Dot reticle.
Will someone who has tell me if it is better than a Multi X and will the Mil Dot work in the woods and at the range as well.

I only prefer the mildot reticle for big game hunting. The versatiliy has many advantages over a Balistic plex type reticle. Ballistic type reticles are calibrated for specific gr bullets so if you change your loads, the hash marks arent worth a squat anymore.. Where-as the Mildot has numerous advantages includng ranging and numerous aim points. It just requires some time becomming familiar with it and using it to your advantage.

You can also purchase the "Mildot Master software" which helps create formulas for your specifics...

I wont use another reticle for big game hunting but that's just my personal opinion and you may want to get others before making a permanent decision...
