I stuck my first ever Small Group targets in the mail today. Those were some lonnnng lasting groups to start with. I took the Anschutz 1710 sporter out and gave it a whirl.
I had half a box of Eley TENEX Ultimate EPS left and I used it on the 50 yarder. Wind was shifty and variable. But, we hammered out something in the .60 range. Would have been about .50 but I dropped one of the slippery little rascals on the table and I had none to substitute. Whether me or it, the well exercised little projectile struck very low (just touching the majority cluster). That was the last of my birthday present TENEX...sigh.
At 25 yards, I tried 25 shot groups with Aguila SE Subsonic and Wolf MT and they were so so. On a whim, I pulled out a box of CCI Blazer and low and behold it beat out the other two with a .32 range group. With the naked eye it looked kinda like a .45 ACP bullit hole in the target. This group shooting game could be habit forming.
Shot a couple of USBRs also. Man, my trigger finger is tired.
