244-6x Dan Tarpley. Alexandria, Virginia.
TC Contender. Leupold 4.5 - 14X set @ 14X. Wolf MT
PISTOL with 14 inch Bullberry barrel and Virgin Valley grip and forend. . The grass at the range had not been mowed in some time and was about a foot tall. It made a continuous wind flag all the way to the target. Interesting. The wind motion in the grass was highly variable, swirling in all directions. My real wind flag, about 5 ft above the grass, sometimes (often) showed wind direction entirely different than shown in the movement of the grass nearby. No wonder the experts use multiple flags.

Lightened trigger, no creep.Beautiful spring day, light breeze coming from the targets, temp. about 50 deg. I know that my rifle positively does not like Winchester T22 throwing shots all over the target. It likes Winchester Wildcat a whole bunch better - shot 233-2X Tuesday. After doing a glasbed job on the rifle, Minimags are shooting much more accurately than before, but we've had rain, wind, and thunderstorms for two solid weeks now, and you know how poorly high velocity ammo does when the wind is stirring up! Hoping forbetter weather, and more target ammo for next month.
