Scores from the Louisiana State match. Smallbore was Saturday with a 60-shot match in the morning for Standard rifle and a 60-shot in the afternoon for Hunter rifle. Air rifle was Sunday with two 40-shot matches in a "pick one rifle" format.

NRA steel, meters (Rams at 100 yards)
Anschutz 1710
Leupold Vari-X III / Premier boosted scope @ ~25X
SK Rifle Match
Date: 5-1-21

Round #1, Standard Rifle, AAA class
Chickens - 13
Pigs - 13
Turkeys - 9
Rams - 9
TOTAL - 44 (29.3/40)

Tied for first place in AAA class, won the shoot-off which is very out of character for me.

Round #2, Hunter Rifle, Master class
Chickens - 13
Pigs - 13
Turkeys - 9
Rams - 8
TOTAL - 43 (28.6/40)

I was hoping to pickup at least one more point to get a 45 (30/40) but the afternoon wind got me on Rams. Still, I was ok with the scores I got.

Sunday's 40-shot air rifle matches. I shot my HFT 500 in Open class.

Class: Master
Air Arms HFT-500
Weaver T-24
Air Arms Diablo Heavy (10.34) pellets

Match #1:
Chickens - 7
Pigs - 8
Turkeys - 4
Rams - 10
TOTAL - 29

Match #2:
Chickens - 6
Pigs - 10
Turkeys - 6
Rams - 9
TOTAL - 31

Happy with my Pigs and Rams, not so much for the Chickens and Turkeys.

Our club match today. Our usual range had standing water on it so we moved to the lever-action range for a fun match. Some shot 1/5 scale animals, some shot the half-scale animals. I was shepherding a friend through his first match and called the second match, but shot the 1/5 scale animals.

NRA steel, yards (40, 50, 75, 100)
Anschutz 1710
Leupold Vari-X III / Premier boosted scope @ ~25X
SK Rifle Match
Date: 5-8-21

Round #1, Standard Rifle, AAA class
Chickens - 6
Pigs - 8
Turkeys - 7
Rams - 4
TOTAL - 25

I forgot the Rams were at 100 yards, not meters, and had dialed in my usual setting. By the time I figured out why my shots were going over the back it was too late.

Round #2, Hunter Rifle, Master class
Chickens - 9
Pigs - 10
Turkeys - 4
Rams - 6
TOTAL - 29

Finished on Turkeys and by then the wind had really picked up. Had I been able to stand still a bit better I would have gotten at least a 30. Oh well, still had fun and my newbie friend did too.
