The Brophy book lists the 27/27S as having the steel butt plate (crescent shaped) and the 37 as having the hard rubber butt plate (standard shaped). I'm not sure of the fit to the tang for each model of stocks. They may be close enough to fit one to the other with a little work if you're just looking to have a stock and don't care about the correct butt plate shape. I have the 37 and it does have the hard rubber style...and as far as Numrich, did you go to the bottom of the parts list where it list a "Not Illustrated" part..? Open that link and you'll see additional parts for sale. They list a 27S crescent butt stock and 37 butt stock and their correct butt plates but they are out of stock.
