Auto Trickler V4
With digital scale.
Fantastic piece of gear.
Made in Canada.
How'd that get past Fidels son?
Gonna see how it stacks up against my good ol' Harrell powder throwers.

Probably not as well as you think. I shoot skeet years ago with a guy that was on the Army rifle team, one day while chatting we got into the reloading aspect of it. They use a Dillon 550 with some custom bits added and an RCBS powder measure for their “training” rounds, but use a manual scale for the competition stuff, I asked why not a digital. Come to find out AC powered scale are all over the place due to the nature of AC current, they couldn’t get consistent drops and even had an electrical engineer design and have built something the “cleaned” the current before it got to the scale…still wasn’t clean enough. No idea if he was pulling my leg or not (I think not), but on the surface some of it makes sense…I know my own scale fluctuates.
Check the product out on their webpage and the reviews. This trickler has been in development for about 7 years and is warrantied for 2 years. It didn't just appear on the market, it's a quality product that appears to do everything it was designed to do. Been watching it since it came out.
I'm ordering mine today.

That is a neat concept there, I assume you have the prerequisite scale that communicates with the trickler? Have you ever tried anything like the RCBS ChargeMaster series of dispenser? A buddy of mine is using the Supreme I believe and likes it a lot. I am just getting into loading and still just using basic powder measure/trickler devices.

Sounds vaguely similar to my old Lyman Auto Scale.

I love my V4. Had a RCBS Chargemaster and it was all over the place on drops. As with any electronic scale you need a good line conditioner and keep flourescent lights away from it.

In a case you haven't noticed from my posts, I'm an old school, hard nose commie hater. My biological father was a Master Sergeant/ Marine 5th Div. fought the Chi-knees in South Korea.
I grew up listening to his stories about the commies , adopting his first hand experience by hating commies too. I'd rather be dead than red. A saying from the time.
I try to buy AMERICAN when ever I can. Yes, that's not possible at all times, but I'm always looking for US made goods before buying commie crap. Even if it's a good product designed in the US. If it says Made In CHINA, no thanks.

I'm with you Maine Guy! RCBS is having too much stuff made in China. Has turned me away too. Reloading is about as American as it gets! I looked at the ChargeMaster by RCBS but declined to buy since it was made in China. Not gonna do it.

Thank you. You just articulated to the word, how I feel.

RELOADING....AS AMERICAN AS IT GETS! Well done!!!

In the search to fulfill our wants, somewhere along the way true principle must prevail if our country is to survive.
Buying Chi-knees junk helps to grow the military machine of our most eminent ENEMY---CHINA!
Ever think of that?
A message to manufacturers AND congress critters must be sent. The message is sent by writing your representatives and refusing to buy more commie crap! Simple as that. Let the junk sit on a shelf, see how long that lasts.
Over and out.

Buy with confidence! I've been on and off with the guy's systems since day one. I had one of the first auto trickler systems, being it had to be fed, it was not for me. I then waited till the V3 came out and used it for over 2 yrs, finally upgrading to the V4. The V3 could be programmed or set to be faster, but the V4 is a more rounded system.
Calibrate the powder used to the system each time, set the speed you want, pretty simple.

If you plan on running a head to head against your Harrel's as you say, buy a set of check weights if you plan on checking weights with your old scale. A lot of myths when comparing these new electronic dispensers with 30-40 yr old scales. The fx120i is a pretty neat scale, and dispensing 28.56 gr is doable, no beam scale will get you close to that in a reasonable time frame.

Appreciate the post. Makes me even more confident to have it!
Did you buy it with the scale or just the trickler? I see they don't advertize sales WITH the scale now. Do you have to ask for the combo?

And oddly enough they use that fancy electric stuff to weigh out things like the different things that go into meds.

Well, I had not noticed, no and I really had not considered where the RCBS was made, it was just a question. I did grow up with a similar father, he had a license plate on our old AMC Jeep Cherokee that said NO REDS. So there is that..
Not sure why you took my comment personally. I replied to Big Guy, as a declaratory statement, not accusatory. It's how I feel. No apologies.

Not exactly taking it personally, also certainly not looking for an apology. You did however quote my post, whether you were replying to Big Guy or not I have no idea.

I used to try to do the no (or very little/mandatory) China purchasing. However, I gave up, partly because I have a working relationship with some Chinese companies, and I know that most of them are small, privately owned companies and they do not represent the government of the country anymore than my company represents the government of my country, so being a small business owner, it became easier to put myself in their shoes. Does this apply to all Chinese products, absolutely not and I am at the head of the line when it comes to avoiding chinesium.

Back to your new gadget, I am impressed, and being made in the USA means that I would pay a premium for it. If I was reloading at a high level, as you appear to be, this would be a nice addition.

OK , good I didn't want you thinking I was singling you out to be ostracized. Just the Chi-knees products. Most companies in China, even small ones are controlled by the Communist Chinese Party. There is no true freedom, personal or otherwise in the Communist Chinese regime. If the regime tells you as a business owner to make this thing-a-muh-bob product, you make it how they tell you and dictate the prices too.. The state owns EVERYTHING, including it's people. That is the EVIL of COMMUNISM!!! I spent some time in communist countries in Eastern Europe about the time the wall fell. Unless you see it and experience it first hand, you can't imagine what it's like.

End Rant.

I don't want to venture too far into this discussion otherwise I get into the "politics" minefield which is verboten here.
Not that I couldn't go on forever with that discussion.

Yes , I grew up shooting bench rest as a "ute" in Pa. Using Bobby Hart, John Dewey and a number of other precision shooting product companies products.
I actually had John Dewey make me some custom patented "strongback sleeves for my Sako actions back in the 70's when that was hot lick.
And over 50 years later I still shoot LR precision rifles fer fun now.

The actual V4 metering device is made in Canada. You couple that with a A&D FX series digital scale and you have yourself a real special piece of powder measuring kit. Incredibly accurate. The company has a super warranty, and are very responsive.

Guys... C&E Products has the best price on A&D digital scales and has a sale going on right now on select scales. You can still use the digital scale stand alone without the V4 if you wish.

Cheers,
Maine Guy

Ordered my V4 today factory direct.!!! Now the wait.
CE products has the FX series digital scales, best pricing so far. The FX120i won't do it for me as my charges are 150 gr's for the big stuff. Going to the 200 or 300.
