This ia a Triple K 10-22 mag holder that I attached to a Baracuda stock with cable ties. It is a bit more bulky than I thought it would be but it does not get in the way of my right arm while shooting.

Nice rifle! I understand what your line of thought is regarding your mag pouch, but (& don't take this the wrong way) put it on your belt.

No Offense meant ,BUT THATS LIKE PUTTING BUMPER GUARDS ON A VETTE..nice looking rifle ...loose the mag pouches ,buy a vest or cut the sleeves off an old army BDU top..lots of pockets :t --Jim-- question do you get barrel droop with that 'cuda stock? seems thier is very little to support anything. i looked at some but that was a concern.

No offense taken, I like to try new things and have very "thick" skin. Ha. You will notice its not permanently attached. There is about 2-3 inches of barrel support under the metal portion of the carbon barrel=no droop. Tension barrels are very rigid.
The gun is a 17M2 so I wanted the extra ammo with it so I could just grab it
and go, walking, in the pickup, or whatever. My belt seems to be permanently occupied by my multi-tool.

Personally, I like the idea. I have cartridge holders on my 243 win and a homemade one for quick loaders on my muzzle loader. It only makes since to have one for the 22/17.

Get rid of the cable ties, they will marr the finish (in time). Use a velcro fastener of some type.

I think it was the new TC M2 that had room for an extra mag in the stock of the gun at the butt. Lookes like a cool idea. I think it was in the HM2 forum. 10/22 mags would be too big, but maybe on the side of the stock. Not for yours but an idea for others.

You might try an m1 carbine stock dual mag pouch. Repros are available, at low prices. 2-10 rd sticks or 2-4 stock mags would likely fit.
