Used to glove in left hand from position shootingI have been trying to get myself out to shoot but the weather makes me rethink it. That is one thing about AR style rifles in general ......all that aluminum is cold, cold, cold and I'm kinda a wussy in the cold. I also don't like to shoot with gloves on either. All my shooting friends shoot with some kind of gloves on even in the summer. I'm trying to use them more but it just feels unnatural to me after all these years.

Seems to work fine! Cold weather and 22 collide. All I can say is dedicated . I would not be out in that cold. Tells you something about Tippmann.
5 shots steady rest offhand… called the one. 25 ydsSeems to work fine! Cold weather and 22 collide.
put a 4x hawke
Only have shot Rem golden hv 40 gr.
trigger is tolerable, but takes ar15 triggers.
pretty light rifle. Has a short handguard, needs a longer HG to get the sling swivel out there for prone.
Recommended.
That's what everyone said at the Appleseed too. They had insulated bags and kept their ammo in, but then in the thrash of trying to get .as loaded before the next prep period they would get left out, bag left open, load mags for the next stage and not put back in the warm, etc.I'd say the One Shot might be fine all by itself. If not, some Eezox helps. Never tried the Wilson Combat oil, if it's REALLY light ... the M4-22 here has convinced me about the lighter the viscosity, the better.
Most importantly, just keep the ammo above 50F or so. 60 is better.
Use the smallest insulated sandwich type cooler you can fit your ammo and mags inside, along with two of the largest rechargeable hand heaters you can find, and maybe 2 or 3 iron-oxidiation type warmer packs.
The stuff learned from watching the rimfire challenge / steel challenge folks is really a great lesson. 22LR ammo does NOT like cold temps if you need it to be reliable in a semi. Those guys are super competitive and can ruin their scores with just ONE bad stage caused by malfunctions. So they are very motivated to not have that happen.
60 rds today on a clean gun and clp lightly lubed. Ammo kept truck so cold. No problems.I like the Appleseed targets.
I went to a Rimfire KD last weekend. It wasn't Alaska cold, but low 20s in the morning, high 40s .
Usually when I go, the firing line is dominated by 10/22s or derivatives. This time it was 50/50 10/22 and Tippmanns. I didn't take my Tippmann but will take it later this year.
I'm just curious what your round count is at your shooting sessions and what lube you are using. I'd like to know if you've had any cycling or reliability issues.
The guys shooting Tippmanns started running into cycling and or feeding issues after about 150 rounds and had to spray some lube in them to get them running.
I cleaned my Kidd with Hornady One Shot very well then lightly oiled the bolt and recieved with a lightweight Wilson Combat oil designed for low Temps.
I wonder if my method would work on my Tippmann too.
Just curious to what you are experiencing in the cold.
