Got the abbreviated tune up. Very happy. Shot it this morning.

looks like that will do! Is that a vortex 6-18?
That's some good shooting, how did it shoot before the tune up?

It's the 4-12.

I only shot it 2 times before. Groups were 30-40% bigger.
Sounds like Randy knows his stuff. Which options did he do for you? I looked at his webpage the other day, can't recall if Abbreviated was one of his packages ?

It would be interesting to know exactly what the barrel is, and exactly what “Randy” did to the rifle. Too, is that a 3- or 5-shot group? Looks kinda like more than 3, but can’t tell for certain. Was that an average group after the work or the best group? I’m not dissing the OP who is still active on the forum, just looking for clarity. Great shooting regardless.

did you send your trigger group to him to or just have the action and barrel done?

Very good at 50 yards, even I am impressed... The varmint tapered barrels are doing very well
making the heavy bull not necessary and becoming so obsolete...

It's a 5 shot group. It shoots that way consistently when I do my part.

I didn't send the trigger group.

Randy, nice work I'm thinking pretty hard about sending you my LVT now too!
Q Does the new chamber tend to do best with any specific ammo i.e. favoring Eley or Lapua for example? I presume it still must cycle and cannot be too tight. My new Bergara B14r fully engraves the bullet driving bands to around .644" +-.005"and some unfired rounds cannot be ejected. I don't think I would want that to happen in my 10/22 but would really like for my LVT to shoot like this. It's already much better than any factory 10/22 carbines I have shot (around 5 of them in total so not many) and only slightly behind a shaw bentz chambered barrel in the accuracy department.

BTW the link you shared needs fixed I think this is the correct web link Connecticut Precision Chambering
My chambers are good for all but a few cartridges, they are CCI Stinger and Agulia Super Max with a longer brass case...
Customer shooting competition, do like the Lapua CenterX , - but should inform me first since Lapua chamber is .008" shorter than chamber for CCI Std Velocity, Mini-mag, Eley, Winchester Power Point, ect...
YES... ON aftermarket barrels and reworked barrels they often will not eject a un-fired round... But I seen Rugers large chambers not eject a live round once dirty... Best to use copper plated bullets for a cleaner chamber.... The burnt ring of crud caused by grease coated non plated bullets is a whole another subject....

Thanks for the reply Randy would probably prefer to keep it tuned for CCI. My LVT would not really be a competition rifle more for hunting, plinking, steel, and shooting varmints.
