Was there an event where very old threads were lost? I've been searching for the build thread for my laminate stock and can't find it. I have found various of my posts refering to it, but no links.

The advanced search used to have a function to search only for threads started by a specific user, but that doesn't seem to exist anymore so I can't just look up all the threads I created.

So if that thread is gone then I guess I have restored the pictures in my remaining threads.

Click on the three vertical dots at the upper right of the entire page, then select Advanced Search. Now you can enter any keywords plus the username in the Posted By field. Hopefully you'll find what you're looking for.

Been doing that for days. Trouble is the thread is close to 20 years old so I don't know what specific words I might have used in the title.

Ah! It worked.

Whenever I can't find a tool or some such I can always find it almost instantly if I do something permanent like buy a new one. Get home from buying the new one, and pop! there is the old one.

Posting this thread worked perfectly. I found soon after posting this one and fixed the pics in it. Sort of. Wow, cell phone pics from back then are really low quality.

Enjoyed looking at the pictures. The stock has some unusual but useful features; e. g., the pistol grip close to the trigger and the wider section on the bottom of the forearm, to mention a couple.

Thanks. It is definitely an unusual stock, and not very pretty to look at, but I had specific wants and it meets them.
