hi, i am looking to build a light weight 10/22 now. i already got 1 that is a tackdriver but it is kind of heavy. I am looking to build one that is very light.

I am thinking of..

Trigger: self tuned trigger
Barrel:Volq. carbon barrel or whistlepig,
Stock: synthetic, contoured wood.
glass: fixed 4X or holosiughts.

Any help of suggestions would be appreciated.

I built one that turned out real light. It has the VQ carbon fiber barrel, Turner Barracuda stock, TG2000 trigger and even with the monster scope that I put on it, it's weighing in at 4lbs I think. I keep meaning to throw it all on my hogue stock, but I don't think it'll be any lighter.

That is similar to what i want. the problem with the thumbhole stock. My hands are very FAT and i have trouble getting a comfortable hold. But the free floating barrel and stock combo is what i need. Maybe a different design stock. I want to see one of Hawk's raptor stocks.

Hawk's Raptor is cool :t

also, look at Richard's Microfit target stocks. Maybe the tactical style without the thumb hole. I haven't tried them though.
