Hey Andy, we‘ll see what happens. Just so you guys know, that vertical pattern you can see all through the stock isn’t grain, that’s from the the big blade at the saw mill. I wish it was the grain teasing me.It will be a lot like apple. We treated them the same when I was a kid. Very similar color, strength, and weight. The fine grain will be very pretty.

The grip area is gonna take a lot of hand sanding, with different grits, wrapped around a dowel rod. I’m gonna sand everything to 500 grit.Beautiful work, Larry. I'm surely jealous of your ability. Looks
