2 Old boxes of Remington .22 Hornet.
Paid $40 for both.
Think I did ok.
Brass is more valuable to me than the ammo.

Might be worth way more than 20 bucks a box for a collector to go with their US survival rifle. Plus I don,t know how old it is but the brass may be brittle and split.

I think that might be military surplus airforce survival ammo.
WOW thanks I never even thought of that.
I have an M6 in .22 hornet too.
Guess I'm not shooting these.

Sorry if I ruined you being able to shoot them now.
GOOD GOD, I guess I did do OK.
I was thinking brass for my Anschutz, not collectible ammo.
The Kraft box should have been a give away.

Man I love this board.
There's ALWAYS someone here with new information!
Thanks Guys!!

Interesting story on my M6.
I bought the M6, a High Standard derringer in .22 mag and an AMT Lightning 25/22.
Nice haul at a great price.

About a month later I get a call,
Preface that with this...I have some real wieners for friends who will call up at times & pretend they are ATF or FBI trying to be cute.
At which point there is a small discussion about their mother and sister.

So back to the call...for what ever reason that day I refrained from my trademark response.
Good thing too, cause it really was ATF!

Seems this guy that sold me the firearms was dealing as a dealer...with no license.
Never did mention the guy shipped the M6 with live ammo in the stock and the Hi Standard derringer shipped in a High Standard wallet holster. No form 4.
Got to keep everything, no visit from the jackboots.

It pays to know the right people. Hornet ammunition was available in full metal case as well as the soft point that you have. The soft point that I have is in yellow and blue peters boxes that have a sticker that warns you not to use it against enemy personal. I bought a large amount of it in Melbourne FL at a civic center gunshow about 35 years ago.
