Tell me more,please.
I ran across one and they are asking $195.00.
Some handling marks on the forearm, great metal, smooth action.
Price, good or not?
Not manufactured any longer I think.
I just need another rimfire, yeh right!
Any info appreciated.

I had a model 72 for many years. It was the most accurate .22 lever action I've ever seen. Few bolt actions would outshoot it. It also had the slickest action. I shot this rifle so much, I wore it out. The action got loose and it wouldn't fire all the time. I got $150.00 for it on a trade for a 44US target rifle. I will always miss it. You won't regret buying one in good shape.

This is basically the same as the modern Henry rifles. They are both based on the exact same design. I have not heard alot of bad things about them. The Ithaca Model 49R is a different story all together.

I don't think you can go wrong with a Model 72 for that price in decent shape.

Just me
