Re: BRNO factory

gr8guns,

Hello. According to the info I'm reading in the BLUE BOOK OF GUN VALUES by S.P Fjestad; Twenty-Sixth Edition, copyright 2005--it says BRNO ARMS currently DOES manufacture firearms (since 1918) in Brno, Czech Rupublic (formerly Czechoslovakia). They are NOT, however, currently being imported into the U.S.

It goes on to say that Brno 98 bolt-action rifles and actions were imported by EAA Corp. of Sharples, FL, until 2002. Brno firearms were also previously imported and distributed by Euro-Imports, El Cajon, CA, until 2001; and by Bohemia Arms of Fountain Vally, CA, until 1997. Further, Brno shotguns, rifles, and combination guns (produced at the Brno factory) were previously imported and distributed by Magnum research, Inc., located in Minneapolis, MN between 1994-1996. In the early 1950s, Brno rifles were imported by Continental Arms Corp., New York City, NY. Petrograde (in Ontario, Canada) also imports this particular firearm trademark for Canada (currently & exclusively). One other note indicates that Brno firearms were also previously imported into the U.S. by T.D. Arms of Baltimore, MD, but doesn't say when.

See Website: http://www.zbrojovkabrno.com/arms/eng/zbrane.htm

Hope this helps. :t Good day! ;)

Brno Arms Gone??? !!!

Zbrojovka Brno - Arms Division is second year in bankrupcy..still in reorganization chapter..but future looks very serious and bleak.. That,s fact !!
But even if MIRACLE happen and Arms Division emerge from bankrupcy.. it may be small 30-40 people - group specializing on customized high dollar items....
