Interest in new production A-bolt 22 magazines?

Hi all,

I am working on an aftermarket magazine offering for the A-bolt 22's.

Please chime in on your interest for the following magazines:

1) 22 Magnum

2) 22 LR

Currently, I'm working on 5 round mags but please speak up if you would like to see other capacity offerings as well.

These would be produced using the same process as the ones I have been selling for the Remington 541/581/591 rifles.

Thanks for the input! I wish I could make them out of metal but its not even close to cost effective given the geometry of the magazine.

I have to agree with rmart, I also thought they were made of metal but as long as they work I'm good with it.

For me and my money, as long as they are reliable and are affordable, that would be all I would be concerned about.

Well they are made of plastic and those look like traction striation for my old arthritic

hands to keep a better grip on. As long as they fit, function and feed properly is the

important thing. Now a 10 round version would be beneficial in the squirrel killing

fields.

Update! (sort of)

Hi all,

Thanks for the input and for keeping the conversation alive!!

I'm very sorry for the delay. I have had to work on finding and now qualifying new vendors for the existing magazines I have available, so unfortunately, the design efforts have slowed. I hope to have new suppliers on board in the next few weeks though and then I'll start digging back into these projects.

Hi Brittman,

Thanks for the follow up! I am so sorry to be dragging this project out! I am definitely still pursuing it and I am confident that it is my next production release. I have it mostly redesigned but got siderailed with having to qualify new vendors these past few months for my existing magazines.

I will try to finish the new design and get prototypes made in coming weeks.

Getting closer!

Hi all,

Just putting a long over due update out here.

I am close to a final design on mags for both the LR and WMR. I just learned of a process quirk that affects a critical dimension so I'm waiting on some additional info to continue working with the vendor on what I hope will be functional prototypes.

I have a WMR rifle in hand to test with but will be needing to send the LR mags out to volunteers for testing.

Fingers crossed for testing in just a few more weeks!

What a slacker!

Geez...I had not realized how long it had been since I let this project slip! I'm sincerely sorry for that!

I am picking it back up and have just finished another pass on the design for both the LR and WMR mags. I expect to have prototypes in a couple of weeks and HOPE that they will be fit for testing and won't need another iteration of design.

I hope everyone is well! I'll post an update again once I have the prototypes in hand.
