but I did! After work today I stopped by my favorite gun store just to browse, and guess what? There on the wall was a CZ "American Varmint" in .17HMR with a price tag of $305 just waiting to be fondled by me.

When I examined it, I noticed a 3" long scratch on the stock. It wasn't scratched through the finish. It was almost like a depression, like it was done by something dull or rounded. They said they would send it back to the mfg. for another one if I was interested. So, I merely asked them how much as-is. They said $290, I said done! Did I do OK guys?

'SNAKEOIL" HERES A TARGET " under 4 square inches.
with mini USBR (8 RING ONLY) targets .

Shot at 48 yards with a semi-auto 1017HMR , not bad for
a $3.00 sandbag front rest.

NO SHIRT / NO HAT == but Volquartsen's site displays the
5 shot target (100 yds) which I shot at a certified match.
(SORRY + BUT ITS THE CURRENT ** WORLD RECORD **Cd.

Sounds like an awesome deal to me! I had to pay about $100 more. Hope you have better luck than I have recently with their stocks.

After waiting for about a month, the first Varmint came in and it had a huge split in the forearm. Decided not to buy that one, next week another came in and quite honestly had a pretty ugly looking stock. Shouldnt have bought it but I did and after using it for the first time a huge chunk of wood came off right behind where the bolt locks in.

They said that they have been having a lot of problems with them getting damage in transit and to send it back. Cant just go pick up a stock, seeing as how they are about 15 miles from my house, nope gotta ship the whole gun UPS and it should be back in about 6-8 weeks. Great!

Hope it shoots good.

Chief says : WELL , Guess that aint no prove it target.

Scott Volquartsen contacted me early last week , asking permission to use the target on their site.
Guess their new site isnt up and running yet. I better look into
this , or I'll be up and running.

THANX CD.
