Will make a dramatic improvement in the appearance of your rifle! I switched to a brown laminate on my 925 - really like the new look!

Hey that looks like my old Model 25, only mine has alittle differant Mag.

The newer Marlins like the 925 have an action screw which runs through the front trigger guard opening and anchors the action to the stock along with the traditional barrel screw.

On the older Marlins there was simply a wood screw there and the entire rifle was held to the stock only by the barrel attachment point.

So , if you have an older Marlin you might have to fill in the drilled "hole" in order to use the wood screw.

Any updates yet? Wish Marlin would just make the 981T with a wooden stock to begin with...a stainless version might be kinda nice too.
