Looking at a Scoped Howa 1100 in .22LR

It's a cool rifle, sorta Ruger American Rimfire-esq https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting...-bolt-action-22-lr-rifle-with-scope/p/1697467

I've seen some YouTube reviews and a few threads here on RFC. Any more recent thoughts on this rifle?

So yeah, about the same price as CZ, add another $100 to cz for entry basic scope and it's exactly comparable price.

I am in california, so maybe you don't know how it works here. Sure I can buy the rifle you mention online, add the cost of shipping and the $100 fees that FFL charges. That'd be over $400 for the one you linked.
Yeah i know how it works there, i have alot of family there in cali. And nobody said you had to buy it online. I only posted the links for people to see price differences aren`t even close in the average gun stores. Where i live, you can buy these Howa M1100`s at the mom & pop stores for around $250 to $280, a CZ457 starts over $500 at the same mom & pop stores where i live. And most know, Sportsman`s isn`t the best place for prices, either.
Let's face it, I'm not sure there are any mom pop shops left in bay area. And I have not personally seen a small shop priced lower than big box on average. I'd love to be proven wrong and save me some money on purchase.

Knock yourself out and find that price in california if you insist it can be had for around that price in california. Perhaps you will do us favor for the next guy in california that wants the 1100. I know I would appreciate buying at lower price.👍

Well, i don`t want to turn this into a political thing, but that`s exactly why i don`t live in california with any of my family. Again, sorry, you seem like a really good person to me, and if i could help you, i surely would.
I have one of the very first 1100’d produced. It had a feed problem which was quickly solved with a small file on seams of magazine and magazine opening on stock. I made pillars and bedded it and my CZ452 V has a difficult time keeping up with it with great ammo. From day one the Howa was shooting 3/4” groups of less at 100 yards with the Nikko scope provided. I also changed springs in trigger group for a two ounce first stage and 7oz second. Great little rifle if you know how to fix minor issues.
Is there a spring kit available for this trigger or did you use ones you already had?

Had a couple of drawers full of springs in the farm shop when I bought the rifle a few years back. Somewhere there is a thread on here as to modifications made and believe I gave all spring sizes.
