How Salty of water?

460 1
Squirrel season is coming up quickly..... I wanted to try something new with them this year.....

the recipes I've found (some on here) call for boiling in salt water.....

how salty of water are we talking? any particular ratio of salt to water would be helpful...unless it doesn't matter....

let me know what you guys do!
thanks!

? salt amount

Enough water, plus an inch, to cover the carcas or the parts cut up and one half teaspoon salt. Start all of it from cold water, place a lid on the pot and boil slowly until it starts to get tender. Then take it out and flower it and fry in some bacon grease with a lid on the pan so it doesn`t dry out. If it dries out it will get tough agian.
