I say La-poo-a
I just watched a Ron Spomer video and he said Lap-wa.
So, what's correct?
Or are we both wrong? Haha

When you call the test center, they pronounce it lop-wa.

I still call it La-poo-eh because it sounds better.

I would never thought that. Hopefully I can remember that.
According to an article I read in a gun mag some years ago, where they toured the factory or something, it's Lop-wa.

Case closed. ;)

Now, anyone want to play "Garand" or "carbine"?

Well there's the Americanized way people say/mispronounce and then there's the way that the Europeans themselves say it.

If you say lop-wa to most people they just look at you like you are talking with a mouth full of crap, but everyone knows la-poo-ah.

Just a smidgen of history, the name comes from the city of Lapua in Finland where the ammunition factory Nammo Lapua is located. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lapua

I believe all the rimfire ammunition is manufactured in Schonebeck, Germany now.
