Home Made .22 Rim Thickness Guage

I use a fired .223 centerfire case. I use brass that has been trimmed for length previously and check them with calipers until I find one that I can rotate around and come up with the same aol all the time. Then I brush out the neck clean, drop the rimfire cartridge in and measure with my calipers. I would suppose you could use about any .224 centerfire brass.

Works good for me.
