Collected 14 pregnant female ground squirrels for the County Ag Dept. to examine. There were a total of 100 fetuses with an avg. of 7 per squirrel. Highest was 9 in one female. These numbers blew them away as the average litter size is about 4. Now I know why those bellies have been popping so good when the little pill hits center mass - can you say 10 squirrels in one shot -haha!
