Hi
Moderators, please move if I have this in the wrong section.

Years ago, I bought a gold colored stick, that I rubbed into the stamped areas on firearms. When you cleaned it off, it would stay inside the stamping, like the manufacture, serial number etc, but clean off around it. It highlighted the areas you choose. I thought they were made by Birchwood Casey. Haven’t seen one since the early 1980s When I last applied Gold coloring. I lost the stick in a move
has anyone seen these, or similar product for sale?
thank you

I usually just buy the Folkart brand Brilliant Pure Gold paint from the Walmart arts and crafts section. You can brush it on, wipe off the excess, and clean up or remove it using acetone. Brownells sells a line of marking sticks like the ones you described.
