I know this is a two-year old thread, but it's brand new to me. THANK YOU for posting these. The first video is probably the only one I'll need, but it has information that some other videos I watched on YouTube left out.

You make it very clear as to "what" has to be done. Whether or not I can do all of that is yet to be seen.

The more I learn about High Standard, the more I wish I had bought some brand new, back when they were available....

I took your download link:

....so I could save it directly on my laptop/phone. This way I can watch it even if I don't have internet access.

Thanks again!!!

Update - the more things that I get to work on with my High Standard, the more helpful these videos get. To me, just SEEING it done is more useful than hundreds of pages of text and step-by-step photographs. More lighting, or a macro camera might have been icing on the cake, but what you've posted is 99.9% of what I needed to see - and you have a very good way of explaining what you're doing, in a way that others can relate to.

One question - 'hamden' wrote the following:

"When reinserting the tiny roll pins, locate the split AWAY from the pressure the pin holds. Roll pin punches are a great help. When temporarily holding the recoil spring back in the slide, use a small brad/nail to hold the spring."
It would be useful if there was a thread here explaining what size "roll pin punches" - until just now, I didn't know such a thing even existed.
I do want to replace my recoil spring, and thanks to you, I now know how to accomplish this, but I'm not sure how to order the proper size tools.
