Nice videos. Only problem was that the lighting was not very good. Because of this, too much of the finer details could not be observed. One more thing which is

a pet peeve of mine when people discuss firearms in general. Some refer to any make, model and style of their revolvers as "cowboy guns". Then there's the group

that buys "bullets" so that they can go shooting at the range. In this video, the discussion focuses on the upper and lower receivers of the pistol. Sorry, this is a

High Standard Victor, and not an AR-15! Please don't refer to the slide as the upper receiver. In this case, the lower receiver is usually called the frame!

Don't get the minor criticism about lighting and nomenclatures. BIG DEAL
In order to avoid any confusion, it is always best to use the same part nomenclature as the original manufacturer does.

I also do appreciate the time it took him to create these videos. My comments about the lighting were intended solely as

constructive criticism.

Following is a copy of the PM I sent to Alan Aronstein along with his reply.

Alan was with High Standard of Houston, Texas for many years. He now runs his own company. Go to: interarmstx.com for more info.

1) Recoil Spring - the small hole end should be pushed into the groove in front of the head on the recoil spring guide 2) FP Spring- the small hole end should be to the back- the other way will cause light hits and non fires 3) Extractor Spring- the plunger tail should be pushed into the small hole end. - Alan

In the video, "High Standard Victor Upper Receiver Detailed Reassembly", docv 73 accidentally states that the large end of the extractor spring should go onto the extractor plunger. You can see this at 4:40 in the presentation. A big "Thank you" to Alan Aronstein for his detailed response.
