Hi everyone, have joined for advice on various rimfires. Possums are a major introduced pest here in NZ as many fellow kiwis are well aware ;)

Welcome from NC.
Opossums are thin skulled creatures. A good running piston air rifle will dispatch them with head shots.
Welcome to RFC from South Carolina!

We have possums aplenty in South Carolina. I didn't know they could swim that far.

In NZ we have whats called the brushtail possum, introduced here from Australia, totally different creature to an opossum from North America, they actually can take quite a bit to kill even with a powerful air rifle.

Welcome from California. We have opossums out here. As soon as there was a bridge across the Mississippi, the westwart possum migration was on.
I think a nice little bolt in .17 hmr would be perfect.

The coyotes and armadillos used the same bridge to make their way eastward.
