Good day for shootin'!

Wind gusts to 58 MPH. so far, the snow is fairly light, and it's 36 degrees out..

MIght need extra thumb tacks in the target, though.....

Ron, sounds great! I shot in GA this summer in a tropical storm, so that was kind of like your conditions, except it was a little warmer, I guess.

Man I hope you got a concreate shooting bench! Better bring extra sandbags and soak em in something like water to increase their weight!

I don't shoot in high winds cause here in Kansas we gots this legend about gettin swept up in a tornado and landing in the little bullet people land!

Blown Away

Also went to the range today. Up to 40 mph gusts from NW in Eastern Iowa. (But Sunny for awhile!!) Was able to hit the 9 ring once at 50 yds, but only on the target I stapled up two to the left from the one I was aiming at! Sometimes this shootin' around corners is fun!

Things are starting to pull together towards the 10Ring
Now we get WIND???
25 yds OK, but then a weather front starts blowing through and the wind starts to pick up in gusts, not a Full Force Gale like what Antlurz describes, but enough to make me switch to CCI Mini Mags from the SV target ammo I was using till a 10-15mph zephyr blew one of my shots clean out of the bull
The hypervel stuff seemed to even things up in the wind.
My scores at 25 and 50yds are no threat to anyone's self-esteem
...Yet!
But I'm gaining on it!:t
