Here's a question that might sound a little strange... Where is the best place to shoot ground squirrels to maximize 'hang time'? I've had a few spinners with my 17HMR and was wondering....

Okay rb, I see you haven't had any responses. You need to explain to this ol' Texan what you mean by "maximize hang time" and "had a few spinners". I guess I don't know the lingo..
well i find that to get the gophers i shoot to catch air you got to shoot down on them, like shooting form the hill side down to teh bottom of the hill or just try to pin them agains teh ground then they pop up

I meant when you shoot em, and they fly and kind of spin around. I know it's probably much more common with centerfires but I was wondering the best place to hit them with a 17HMR to achieve that effect.
Really? I guess that might work. I thought maybe if you hit them lower it would start them a' spinnin.
the flipper

I often get hares to do a full back flip 360 degrees with a neckshot. I dont know why this is. If shot in the head or chest they just drop. This is with vmax hmr.
