I've been doing a lot of looking around for a while, but cannot find anything on this. Do those eagle ventilated hand guards fit on the standard synthetic stocks? All of the pictures I have seen of them are on wood stocks, and I know that the wood stocks are wider than the synthetic ones.

Quick answer...NO! I have Butler Creek Folding synthetic for my 10/22 and I bought the ventilated handguard (I'm sure it was an Eagle) and it doesn't fit down far enough on the barrel to be snug against the stock. I think its because the sythetic stock sits lower on the barrel. I even tried to do some sanding to bring the barrel down, but to no avail.



If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to help me out.

choate folders come w/ handguards, i believe

Choate comes with a handguard, but it clips onto the barrel.

The eagle metal vented handguard would not fit my choate stock either... barrel sits too high in the stock.

BUT, it would not be hard to make your own handguard!
