Shot my Ruger 1022 with my new GM .920 18 inch bull barrel yesterday for the first time. I shot the first 100 rounds using Federal plinking ammo, following the GM's recommended break in procedures. During the initial 100 shots of break in, I experienced about a 10% failure to eject properly and a few stove pipes. After the break in, I attempted to shoot Aguila Super Extra 40 grain 1255 FPS and those cartridges wouldn't even chamber properly. Then I moved to CCI SV and Norma TAC and both of these preformed flawlessly. I know you can't shoot stingers out of a bent chambered barrel, but didn't expect issues with the Aguila.

I just watched a video where a guy was shooting them out of a bolt action and some the bolt closed fine and other he had a hard time closing the bolt. Which is a bummer because I bought a bunch of those to try. I found the video. these are not the standards the video is aguila rifle match. But sounds like you are having same problem.

Winchester might be another ammo that would have problems with ejection in smaller chambers.
I have had problems lately with the 40 gr HV Aguila ammo in a BMR and two 10/22's with E.R. Shaw barrels. Not wanting to chamber.
The same Aguila ammo I brought 6 months ago had no problems.
My Ruger LVT shoots the Aguilla fine, but this new 1022 with the GM barrel does not like it!

Today I tried them Aguila in my GM, & the whole 50pk fired & ejected well. Also they did alright on paper. Guessing maybe a.dirty barrel what's causing them failures.

Which ones, fired a whole box of the 333 White Box, all loaded & fired well. Cept for two rds which were duds. Tried reloading them twice to see if it'll fire but didn't. + those are the only Winchester I can find for a few years now.

The Aguilla is shooting fine out of the GM barrel now.
