Hi all

Both JL and I were lucky to have a visit from the bearded one
(No, Not Santa) Jim Pollard and and his wonderful wife Jeanne

We had an excellent time with some super nice people!
The weather did not cooperate much.
Jim and i did get in one nice day of shooting.and impress the hell out of the folks at the range (while Jeanne was off cleaning out the local casinos)

No 250s so yall are safe so far. (best i could manage was a 248 something X @25)
I did get to shoot the Anschutz.super nice guns (both of em)

I think the star was the little Sako. Its going to be quit a shooter, and a super nice gun.

Too bad the wind blew for nearly the whole visit but
with some luck it will be better next time.

I am lucky to have had the chance to meet both Jim and Jeannie
and do a bit of shooting as well

:p

THANK YOU BOTH DucDave and JL for being such great hosts. I enjoyed meeting both of you and shooting with you. The wind won the shooting time we had. Only one day with out gusts of over 30 miles an hour. I shot baddddd. That 10-22 of JL is one good shooting gun and Dave and his 37s are good shooting guns. I havd a ball meeting and shooting with you.

Jim,
I had a great time also! Too bad about the wind, its hard to tell about just how well a rifle shoots when the wind is rocking your target a half inch either way. Maybe it'll calm down when you come back up later in the summer. I know my schedule will be a lot calmer.

Sooooo, thats the problem! Hehe!

Actually the range we shoot at has target stands with 2" legs and 3" tubing going into the ground......makes for some dicey shootin' when the wind gets ta blowin'.

Makes it more of a challenge tryin' to figger out if you want to shoot when its goin' away or comin' back! JL

JL,

You may want to take some wooden wedges with you next time and stabilize those target stands. We don't want another subdivision match for shooting at moving targets. Joe has a hard time keeping things straight as it is.:)

Ken

PS: A long taper on those wedges will be better than short steeper wedges.
