good site plinker. got a yotte call works great. but brings in more foxes than anything. a tape of a wounded rabbit or a screwing rabbit or a rabbit that got bit.(by a snake) but it does work. and in v.a. or loudoun you can use a eletronic game call and lights for varmits.

So you out nights call'in Varmints?

Ever heard the saying
"The snakes crawl at night"

Stay away from those warm roads and
big rocks after dark esp. this time of
year,warm days and cool nights.
Snakes love to crawl where its warm
after dark.

Those electronic

call work good on crows if you move
to different locations and don't
over work an area.
Crows learn real fast.

Crowa are only thing I have used them on,using a shotgun with decoys.

Have heard of people putting the call
under a tree, then backing off about
100 yds wait for the crows light in tree
then shoot them with a rifle.
Might work if you had a tree with
a hill side behind it to stop the bullets and had a good blind to shoot from.

phil in alabama, I bought one of those knight and hale squirrel call kits also. I have managed to call in three squirrels and scare off at least thirty!!!!

I actually have had more luck using a rabbit in distress coyote call on squirrels. They come right down out of the tree barking at you!!!

Chief says :
I went overboard on the Crow calling .
set up remote , control , amplified electronic caller.
Added about 6 crow decoys , 1 owl decoy.
Plinker your right, Crows learn very fast.
The second time you set-up , leave the decoys at home.
The first crow that sees a decoy , tells the others . lets
"get out of here".

Ive studied the "crow" , his habits, likes and dislikes.
Rather amazing critter.
The crow = hates about every other species of birds , other
than himself!
Crows will gang up on a hawk or owl , pester it till they get
tired. Crows will give the location away of a wild turkry , one
or a whole flock.
What is really amazing, Crows are smart enough to send a scout
to investigate a disturbance *(electronic call )*. If you dont
shoot at the scout and he doesnt recognize you as a threat,
he will bring back the whole flock to the location.

I have had so many swarm around the speaker, that a 12 gau.
shot dropping one dead , didnt bother the others the least.
Other times one shot. all leave the country , not returning.

Chief shares his wisdom:) And his wisdom is very true. Often times you will have one lone crow fly over just outta range, dont go sky busting him. 5 min they will be back.

Chief says (thanks Dean_311) I thought for a minute there,
I was just dreaming.
DREAMING of that scout bringin back about a hundred
reinforcements to charge my trusty 12 gauge semi-auto.
