I'm restoring a Ranger model 35 (Stevens model 83) With a peep sight
According to Some of my reading There was a hood on the front sight.
The front sight on this rifle does have a groove on each sight for holding a hood.
I've been searching for a hood, but so far haven't found one.

Anyone know if another hood will fit this?

Stevens had a hooded ramp sight that took inserts and a single post that took a hood, not sure which you have but I am thinking the single post??? Numrich has hoods for the ramp type, they would fit the single post but would be longer than the correct one, they also have a shorter hood that might be right but I am not sure if it's the same diameter.
