First time out for my adult daughter

Thirty one and never touched a firearm before, but she decided to share some quality time while visiting by trying out Dad's hobby. We're on opposite coasts now so time together is precious. We talked things through without getting too detailed, except for the safety rules, then did some dry firing. Using a CZ 457 with bipod and rear bags at 25 meters. Quiet-22 to reduce noise and recoil. She shot great!

Is she hooked? Have you picked out which gun from your vast collection you are going to give her? :p

That's awesome! I've turned non shooters into at least 2nd amendment supporters even if they don't really take up the hobby.

Well, we got as far as "I can see why you enjoy this" and we had a good time, so I'm satisfied.

That’s awesome you got to spend some quality time with your daughter. I can’t really recall a person that I’ve taken a little time shooting not enjoying it.

Makes me smile. I had the same experience this past fall with my 35 year old daughter. I opened the safe to ask what she wanted to shoot & she said 'can we take them all?'. Spent 6-1/2 hours at the range.

She shot this 25 yard group of six standing offhand with my 455 & Federal 325 box ammo.

We walked up to the target & she is disappointed. I say 'why are you disappointed with that?' She replies 'I didn't hit the bullseye'.

Wow! I'd be thrilled with that target offhand. Been practicing for an upcoming Appleseed and my offhand groups are not nearly as tight. Great user name by the way. Brings Tim Sample to mind. ("We don't need a lot of tourists... just one really big one!") I have family on the coast and near Dexter. I'm up there every summer for a week or so.
Well done Sir. Time with family is so important.

All I want for Father's Day is for my wife and son to go to the range with me.

obviously she didnt get it that its not that easy - no matter what the TV shows lead you to believe , the TV and movies act like anyone can hit dead on at any range - they dont teach anyone a thing - except the anti crowd to be more anti , you taught a great lesson there and she did a wonderful job both shooting and proving the point
