just picked up a coupla 100 rnd boxes of Fed 810 ammo and the box
says "game shok"

is this a re-packaging of some previous type of ammo? all the box
says is Hi-velocity, no indication of how fast it is.

any ideas?

Rico,

It's the same as 710 (that is packaged in 50rd boxes) Fed just changed the name to Gamshok. It was called Fed Hi-Power. They came in red and white 50rd boxes - 10 to a brick.

I still have a brick of the old stuff.

Let me run downstairs and check the box for anymore info.

Check Federal web site, they should have all the ballistics data there for their different loads.

Good luck with that stuff Rico, none of my rifles liked it much, but I never tried to tune the mounting screw tension to it either. I still got 3/4's of a 100 round box of it left, and I don't remember if I tried it in the CZ yet......

Federal lists it with a 1240 fps, so it's not hyper hot, just high vel......
