The tactical model currently listed is threaded but no sights. There are a few companies that will remove the sight, thread and reinstall the sight but the cost is $150 for the service. ADCO is one of them.

Those prices are nutz! Fred will sell you a threaded barrel with sights on it for $225 but it will be a bull barrel.

if you want very specific features on an item (such as..fit factory stock, threaded, iron sights) you have to be willing to pay for them, if it's not a popular combination of things

but you also have to be careful picking up a used barrel, as Ruger put some threaded barrels out with weird threads...1/2-20 or something equally strange

That's what I bought, it was a new take-off. I had to get a thread adapter, 1/2-20 to 1/2-28.

It is stainless steel. I installed taller sights and had it coated black.

I probably have $160 in it...Tom
