I believe you'll find this depends on the "factory" about which you are inquiring.

The accuracy of a Weatherby AccuMark synthetic stock is somewhat better than a wood stock from the same company.

The same cannot be said for all companies.

Other side of the coin; My 93R17 shoots much better with a wood stock than it did with the factory synthetic stock.

ya i was refering to the ruger synthetic stock cause i pick up one for cheep to switch my wood one with to make it a black stealth jack killing machine, for now atleast until i can afford a GM bull barrel and houge stock

I think they are nice. After all it is made by ruger. I have one that I cut down to the v-block. It takes down to fit in my 19" case in seconds, and I can use any barrel!
