If I read your question correctly, No. You do not need another shooter. Just someone else to verify your scores. Although, the more the merrier...

I would like to begin participating in these matches.
My understanding is:
1-Order some targets from Tom Guerin.
2-Order a scoring gauge from the NRA
3-Get at least one more person (scoring and shooting) I think I can get at least three.
4-Starting shooting and send in scores at the end of the month.
Is there anything else?
