Hi everyone. I just bought a Ruger 8366 target rifle & want to use it for my local gun range benchrest competition. But I don't want to load 1 round in each magazine & have to change mags every shot. Does anyone make a mag block that will allow me to just drop a round in the chamber each time like a single shot bolt action? I've searched online but no luck.

Do you have to lock the bolt back and then unlock it to close the bolt??
Or do you reach over and hold the bolt open with one hand and load with the other??

I'm ignorant of many things "guns" and I don't see the point in that thing.

Its a bolt gun ,not a 1022.

I saw Ruger and 10/22 popped into my head.

While the OP was about a bolt gun, the product description for the mall rat sled includes its use in a 10/22, so it's not an unreasonable question. On a stock 10/22 the options mentioned by bugeye appear to be it. Another option would be to install a bolt with an auto bolt stop that holds it open after the last round, like one at this link: http://cstmtech.com/10-22bs2g

Exactly this.

Would work on a bolt gun but impossible to use on a 10/22. At least for me.
