Do we know all there is to know? Yes. Silly question. If you are asking if we know all there is to know, then obviously you don't know, so you have answered your own question by asking it. If you knew all there is to know, you would state "We know all there is to know."

I think there will continue to be improvements, what improvement? I don't know. Will there be improvements that change the rimfire world? Maybe not, but thinking it's gotten as good as it's ever going to get...I believe that's foolish. The improvements will probably be very small, but we have to remember rimfire has been around longer than anyone anyone alive and at least generation before them...and it's been improved upon more recently with the advent of match grade rifles for the positional competitions.

The head of the US Pantent office 120ish years ago said the office should be shut down because eveything that could be invented, had...

Soooo human stupidity is always in play.

Ya' know how C4 is a moldable high explosive?
Pellet of C4 with y'er ring primer adhered inside the base of the projectile.
Electric igniter flashes the primer, detonates the C4,
and we're off like a thundering herd of turtles. :cool:
