Just started modifying my 10/22, and have heard a lot about "truing up" the bolt face. Do I really need to? Will it make that big of a difference in my group size? Thanks in advance, Chuck

Need has very little to do with modifying a 10-22. Do you want to do it? Will it help?

Maybe! But it won't hurt either. It's just one more thing that you can say you did yourself. To get more technical data as well as opinions on the subject read the thread on Bolt Face Reduction.
