What differences, if any, are there between the MK II "Government" models and the "Competition" models (becides the slab side barrel and target grips on the Compedition model)?

1 in 15" rifling twist with gov,

target & all others 1 in 16"

(anyone feel free to correct me if wrong, but I read this somewhere a while back)

Slabsides have a target crown.

The 1 in 15”, 50 oz. pull, a little more barrel length, and something about how the chamber is formed according to several old posts from a search on the Government Target Model I did last week. Whatever it is, works.

Slightly tighter chamber , per RL Wilson's book. and they had to pass an accuracy standard or were not sold as GM's and has sight lazer aligned at the factory as well as a factory supplied target to prove they met the accuracy standard.
It does not mean the \comps are less accurate just that they were not factory tested for accuracy .
