Look like the wood stock is $ 50.00 extra, if the guns are the same, any other reason for the price difference?

The Airbug only comes with wood grips Barksdale. https://www.diana-airguns.de/en/products/detail/diana-airbug
Are you talking about the new version Crosman 1377? I only see those in synthetic?

I bought the .177 co2 version. I'm pretty happy with it. I've been shooting down the hall using a two hand grip. I might have bought the .22 version but I had a 2240XL on back order.
So far I'm using the iron sights. It is a fun gun. Once I get set up with a pump, tank or compressor I may buy the PCP version and put a dot sight on it.
The bag it comes in is a very nice touch.

I was not very happy with the clumsy stock grip. So I - did a thing.

It's actually a Bandit (PCP). Added a Huma regulator and did a major rework on the trigger. Now it shoots acceptable. But would I recommend the PCP version? No. The tank is just way too small, and without a regulator the FPS drops very quickly. With the Huma reg. I can get about 25-30 consistent shots. And that's a at 5.5 foot pounds energy.
But all in all and given the price - it's a cool little plinking toy.

Not an AirBug but it's brother the Bandit was delivered a couple of weeks ago and I have put atleast 500 rounds through it if not more and it is a very accurate piece just like everyone is saying about the AirBug. I got mine in 22 but the only thing holding me back on a .177 is my Crosman 2300 custom is so accurate that I don't want to replace it. It does have a couple of favorite as far as pellets go but it's not overly picky. Great gun with a nice trigger, got mine setting at around 9 ounces right now, strictly for targets.

Bit by the Air Bug "Bug"
Thanks to many informative posts I have decided to get an Air Bug.
At first glance I thought that Pyramid had the best price, but there's are all
REFURBS and I prefer to go new. Will be ordering from Midway.
There are many things I like about the Bug, one of them being the wood grip.
Not a design I plan to live with, but more than enough "excess" material to make customizing a natural plan.
If you've pared down the grips on your Diana, I'd love to see the results.
Seems like slimming down the upper portion and modifying or doing away with the bottom "shelf" will be a good start.
When mine arrives and mods are complete I'll post the results. Will take a while.

You all have me almost convinced that this should be my Christmas present to myself. In looking around to get one in .22 most sites show it as being unavailable or on preorder status. Amazon shows them it stock. However, the picture on their site shows the bolt handle on the right side of the pistil whereas the others show it on the left side. Which is it - or were some made on the right side and others on the left side?
Ahh, my fingers were typing faster than my mind was working. Amazon is showing unavailable but Midway is showing them in stock but with the right hand bolt. This is the link to their page.

You could email them and ask but I think they just reversed the photo. If you Google the SKU they show it comes up on other sites with the bolt on the left.
I was going to drag it into Photoshop and reverse it back but it's beer-thirty and I've got the attention span of a flea

I got the airbug out today, it was till holding co2 from this summer when I last used it. I have the PCP bandit version in .22 on back order and I hear that the front band is the same for each. I'm thinking of making a 3d printed band using the airbug for dimensions.

I bought one of these for my Chaser; it's a great fit, and made well. I assume it would fit the Airbug, but I don't know - they're the same pistol with different grips, aren't they?
