You may have covered this before.If so,excuse my ignorance.Are the actions in all CZ rimfires "exactly alike"?Thinking of buying another,cheaper model than my American and restocking along with rebarreling.In other words...a BR rifle.Thanks.

NO. They are not all alike. Most have only one action screw. They do not all have a screw in the tang of the action. The Scout has only one screw holding the stock on. The Special and Varmint have one action screw and one barrel screw. The American has two screws in the action, no barrel screw.

Aside from action-screw location, are there any other differences?
I own an American and the slightly older Classic model, the only difference between these two is finish and the way the tang screw mounts(American-large screw enters a lugwhich is dovetailed loosely in the receiver/Classic-smaller diameter screw enters a lug threaded into the receiver).
I would assume if one were going through the trouble of having an action rebarreled, having the receiver tapped for new action screws wouldn't be an obstacle.
I'm interested in your results.

The only other difference that I know of is the scope ring grooves. The American has 3/8" grooves and the others have 11mm.
