All I can say is....WOW!!! o_Oo_O

My Lilja .900 barrel came in and I got it installed on my 457 VPT. We spent Saturday working on a metal shop. Come lunch time we stopped for pizza and I broke out my rifle, sighted it in (4 shots total!!) and we all took turns trying it out. I had a steel target hanging at 50 yds I used to sight in on. This target has a 1/2 inch square hole in it used for hanging and that's what we decided to shoot at. Ammo used was a new lot of Norma Tac-22 that came in Friday and wind was low at 1 to 4 MPH. Three shooters and 60 shots later, only 4 shots did not go through the 1/2 inch hole. To say the very least...everyone was happy with the results!!!
Not a great range report....but it's what I had time to pull off. :D

The 2 very low impacts and the 2 impacts just low right of the hole were sighter shots. There were 60 shots fired at the hole. You can see 2 solid impacts and 2 partial impacts around the hole. The rest went through it.

Nice shooting ! Congrats. I love my VPT. So far I have been able to get a 3 shot and 4 shot one holer. Working on 5.
These 457 VPTs are real shooters.
AWE Man!!! You mean I'm suppose to be shooting more than one shot through my "ONE HOLER" groups. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Yes Sir!!! They are awesome rifles!!! (y)

I'm somewhat surprised that you swapped out your barrel. Seems to me from your previous posts you were already getting one hole groups out of your VPT. You were actually one of the enabling forces that made me think that a 16" VPC could perform that well ( even though I wasn't a fan of these short barrels).
I will say that the longer barrel looks a whole lot better on tyour rifle. I bet the balance and reduced muzzle blast is improved too.
This renews my interest of swapping out my 16" barrel (which shoots VG as well) to the 20" MTR barrel I have sitting on the shelf.

My 16" factory barrel shoots very good. Kind of got the bug to try another barrel, decided to go longer and heavier for weight. Kept looking at all my options for barrels and everything was 1/2 to 2/3's the way to a new Lilja barrel so I picked up one. I'm very happy with my choice.
You are correct about the balance, reduced muzzle blast and I will admit.......It does look alot better!!! :D

Next Update......

It was a very proud day for me!!! I had someone out shoot me with my own rifle, very easily, and he did it at 150 yds. o_O

A friend and I loaded up to go shoot our new Lilja barrels and took my 7 yr.old Grandson with us. It was all down hill for the two of us as we not yet knew what the 7 yr. old was about to do to us!!! LOL!!!. The weather was windy, 12 MPH to 18 MPH so I decided to take my new hanging steel animal target, KYL target and have some fun. Ammo of the day was Norma Tac-22. We put the KYL at 50 yds. and the animal target at 150 yds.
Long story short......Two grown men struggled to hit the 1/4" KYL 5 out of 10 and the seven yr. old was running it 10 for 10 on hits. So the two of us ganged up on the seven yr. old and moved to 150 yds......Now we have him right where we want him!!! WRONG!!!!:oops:
The chicken is the smallest of the steel animals on this target and just so happens it was my Grandson's favorite. Two grown men couldn't hit the chicken and the seven yr. old was going 8 out of 10...over!!! and over!!! and over!!! :eek:o_Oo_O

Two grown men finished up, beat by a seven yr. old and I left about as proud as any Pop could ever be!!! :D:D:cool:

I keep saying it...I got to get one of those VPT...or maybe just painting my VPC would be good enough.... 🤔. No... I got to get one.Your a lucky man to have both.
Yes Sir!!! Both rifles are awesome for sure. (y)

The 457 VPC belongs to a good friend. I'm only 100% responsible for assembling, adjusting and tweaking. Guess that makes me responsible if it goes bad too!! :ROFLMAO:

He also won his first ARA Unlimited Match this past weekend....This is where he gets 100% credit!!

Here is one of the targets he scored 2000 on. The other three were 1850, 1850 and 2000 also.
