Not surprising they weren't interested. I'm sure they want to sell thousands of scopes per model, not a few dozen.
I second that, and also most of what is available today is just Chinese junk. In talking to the older silhouette guys, the game was much more popular in the 1980's, hence why the good, old Japan and USA made scopes were made back then. Today there isn't much of a market, sadly. Your best bet is a Japan made Weaver or Bushnell on eBay.Unfortunately used scopes are your best bet. The market is currently flooded with two variants of tacticool style scopes, the high end (Japanese, US and euro stuff) and the low end, (Chinese garbage).
The older Weavers, Leupolds, Burris, BL, Japanese Tascos... etc... with 1/4 moa adj are your best bets, with a dot reticle or heavy duplex. Forget the mildot and inverted christmas tree reticles, they are too busy and you have enough to contend with in offhand shooting to be handicapped by excess.
Having had a Mueller APV that served me well on a custom 10/22 for years, I took a chance and bought that Eradicator scope from Optics Planet a few months back. Despite glowing reviews I thought it had horrible glass, ( I'd seen better on $100 scopes.) Maybe I got a bad one but IMHO, it was junk at 1/2 the price. Fortunately they took it back and I reinvested in a Athlon Argos BTR 10-40x56 from them. Very happy with that one but it misses several of your want list. What do you guys know about Mueller Optics? I've never heard of them before, but just found them on the internet this morning.
Their 8.5-25x50 AO Eradicator might work except that, at 22 ounces, my rifle will not qualify for hunter class. (It probably would have without the illuminated reticle, which is of no use in competition.) But I can still compete all year in the local club matches; they don't weigh rifles as long as they look like tapered-barrel wood-stock hunting rifles. It is only at the state championship that they weigh everybody's rifle.

Anyone have a pic &/or additional info on this Diamond reticle? I've been digging around the web (including Leupold's site) and I'm coming up shortUpdate on silhouette scopes. The Leupold 6.5-20 EFR VX-3HD with the Target Diamond reticle is now available from EuroOptic and other resellers. This reticle was developed based on feedback and testing of some of the top shooters. Looks like it should be a winner and made in the USA.

I thought the diamond reticule was discontinued? Leupold doesn't show it on their website, and Euro Optic shows it out of stock, with an option to get an email when back in stock.

I searched that SKU on Leupold's site and couldn't find it either. That video posted above is from April. So I'm assuming the website is just lagging behind
Dang, I should have looked harder when I was searching for one...I ended up buying the regular "fine duplex" version a few weeks ago.
You did, but the website still says they don't have any with that reticle.I should have taken one more step and linked to this.
Find a range and start a match! I know a few D/FW folks that would show up.Still wishing smallbore silhouette would make a come back in N. TX
