Killing crows on the fly with a rifle...that's crazy.
You'd be a kick *** sniper...ohh wait, you were.;)

Do you have enough land around you that you can confidently shoot into the air with rifles?
I wish I had that kinda play space.

Are you calling those crows or stalking them? I'm going to assume calling, since you are shooting them on the wing.

Thats gotta be a tough game. I've been crow hunting with a shotgun and the hit / miss ratio isn't a lot higher.

As my skeet shooting buddies always tell me: "Lead them more". When I point out that they don't know how far I'm leading them in the first place they say "Doesn't matter, lead them more"

NO thats just not right.

I have to say. DANG! I havent ever really shot into mid air with a rifle like that. I have enough trouble shooting them on the ground. I would really have trouble with the in the air.

Chief says :

Citori = I use an electronic casette caller . makem crows
easier to shoot "especially" when they are coming toward
you
Sid = I see where Crows do some good, (chase hawks away)
also they become (tattle tales) on Turkeys when they come
off the roost.
Birds of prey ( redtail hawk) have escallated to record numbers
in many areas. They are a Protected species like the Eagle.

If the Eagle population grows likr the hawks have =====
LOOK OUT - steak prices will skyrocket.

O.K. CHIEF, how many of them little rugers do you have. Iasked my dad about that crow thing. His response "f$#@ you got a automatic, spray and pray. If you cant hit it then your a piss poor shot." We shoot at them in the air too. We have 1000 acers to hunt all by ourselves. At about 25--30 yards about 8 inches infront of them, with no wind.:t
